In 1982, Wolf Leue, Joe McCabe, and Paul Stevenson founded Leue McCabe Stevenson Ltd., which later became PROLINK Insurance Inc., one of the largest independent insurance brokerages nationwide.

After running a successful brokerage for 25 years, Joe became passionate about helping other like-minded entrepreneurs join the industry. Joe knew how difficult it was to start a brokerage from scratch—after all, insurance companies won’t just partner with anyone who asks. He wanted to leverage his experience, resources, and connections to help other would-be business owners launch their own independent companies.

In 2007, PROLINK Broker Network (PBNet) was launched on the pillars of integrity, fairness, and support. Its goal was simple: build Canada’s premier network of truly independent brokers by helping qualified professionals establish their own brokerages through exceptional value and support.

Since then, PBNet has grown into a respected network with over $200M in aggregated premiums and over 40 established independent brokerages.
